THE FIRST ISLAND AIRCRAFT
By all available accounts, Mr Clare Lallow, a boatbuilder from
Cowes, seems to have been the first person to build an aircraft
on the Island. He had first built a model for another Cowes man,
Mr Lobnitz, and flew the model off the Medina River.
